By reading RAP Notes you are using an educational site. You are not opening an account, and you are not hiring anyone.
Educational use
The text and the calculator explain public rules and run arithmetic on figures you supply. They are not tax, financial, legal, or educational-counseling advice. They are not a recommendation to pick a plan, to consolidate, or to refinance.
No professional relationship
Using the site does not create an adviser, attorney, tax, or loan-servicer relationship. Official rules, your promissory note, and your servicer's notice control your loans. If those sources disagree with a sentence here, follow the official source.
Estimates
Calculator output is an estimate. It is expected to differ from a bill when the balance, the rate, the income, the loan type, or the servicer's rounding differs. The page lists what it leaves out, including daily interest, recertification, taxes, and PSLF counts. Do not treat an illustration as a promise of a future payment or of a remaining balance.
Acceptable use
Do not use the contact form to send account credentials, government identifiers, or someone else's personal data. Do not present this site as an official Department of Education page. Do not scrape the pages in order to sell "relief" services. Federal repayment help is free at StudentAid.gov.
Other sites
Links to official and other third-party sites are there so you can read the source. Those sites are responsible for their own content. A referral link is governed by the advertising disclosure and is omitted while its slot is empty.
Changes
The pages can be corrected or removed. The date on a page is the date of the text, not a promise that the underlying rule is unchanged after that day.
