Pages you read

The guides, the calculator, and the other pages do not ask you to sign in. The calculator keeps your figures in the page while it is open and does not write them to browser storage.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not set cookies and does not use browser storage. There is no analytics script and no advertising script. A dark color scheme follows your device setting. It is not stored as a preference on this site.

The contact form

The form does nothing until you press send. It then transmits the message to Web3Forms at web3forms.com, using a public access key that lives in the site configuration. If you type a name or a reply address, that text is included. Leave those fields blank if you do not want them sent.

Do not submit an account number, FSA ID, Social Security number, or date of birth. We have no use for them and no ability to service a loan. Web3Forms processes the message under its own policy. We do not control that company and we do not keep a copy in your browser.

Hosting

The pages are meant to be hosted as static files. A host such as the one serving this domain can process IP addresses and request logs in order to deliver the files. That processing is the host's, not a tracker added by these pages.

Links to other sites

Links to StudentAid.gov, the Education Department, the eCFR, the Federal Register, the CFPB, and other sites leave RAP Notes. Those sites have their own privacy practices. A referral link is not published while the affiliate slots are empty.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. The current text is October 17, 2026.
